Pesticide Jug Drop Off

  • North Central Co-Op Enterprize Drive Hart, MI, 49420 United States (map)

June 16 through July 7, drop off your clean, dry containers Thursday mornings between 8 and 10 am at NCC’s Bulk Fuel Facility.

For the second year, the Oceana Conservation District (OCD) is working cooperatively with Helena in Shelby, North Central Co-op and Wilbur-Ellis in Hart to make available opportunities to bring in ag pesticide jugs (up to 55 gallon containers in size) for recycling.

The following steps must be followed when bringing in containers and those that do not meet these requirements will have to be turned away.

·          Containers must be triple-rinsed, stains are ok, caked-on residue is not

·         Containers must be dry

·         Caps must be removed

·         Booklets must be removed

·         Containers must be bagged; Bags can be obtained from the OCD office, Helena, North Central Co-op and Wilbur-Ellis

The collections will take place at North Central Co-op’s Bulk Fuel site on Enterprize Dr. in Hart, (go west off State St. at Oceana Pharmacy) starting in mid-June. The scheduled drop-off dates will be every Thursday morning from 8-10 starting on June 16th and will continue until July 7th. Helena will also be accepting pesticide jugs the end of September during business hours. Please do not leave jugs on either site at any other time! If the June/July dates or times do not work for you, please call Lynda Herremans at 231-861-5600 ext. 107 to make other arrangements.
