Summer 2026 Nature Day Camp
Camp 2026 Dates: Check Back Soon!
Registration Opens March 15, 2026
We are excited to welcome campers back to Nature Day Camp! Children ages 6 to 11 are invited to join Conservation District staff and field experts for one (or all) of our fun-filled summer camps. Campers will have the opportunity to connect with nature and make new friends through games, hands-on science and wildcraft activities and nature hikes.
basic information
Camps meet at Doolittle County Park and Gales Pond in beautiful Oceana County, Michigan.
Campers are placed in age cohort pods led by a teen counselor. Please note: When possible, with advance notification, we will honor camper requests to be placed in a pod with a buddy or sibling.
Our day begins with whole camp games and Opening Circle. Age cohort pods then circulate through adult-led activities: Wildcrafts, Woodland Wander, Eco-Adventure and Chill-Out. During these activities campers have the opportunity to engage with nature through craft projects, hiking, hands-on science and self-directed exploration. The entire camp community gathers together under the pavilion for lunch followed by group games. We end our morning with sharing, recognitions and team building activities during our Closing Circle.
Campers need to bring water, a snack, a lunch and dress for all weather conditions. Yes, we will hike in light rain!
Our camp is limited to 26 campers ages 6-11. Please note: children must be age 6 by June 1.
After registration and payment you will receive the Family Guide with additional helpful information.
A non-refundable deposit of $50 is due at time of registration to guarantee enrollment.
Partial scholarships are available! To apply for a scholarship (see link below) register your camper(s) and pay the $50 non-refundable application fee per camper/ per session.
