Forest School for knee-high naturalists

Children in the range of ages 2-6, along with a parent/caregiver, are invited to join teacher Kiki, for our 2023/2024 Forest School program. In this fully outdoor, forest school experience children are encouraged to discover the secrets of the forest. School readiness skills are supported through music and movement, read-aloud, active games and nature crafts. Weekly themes highlight the unique natural wonders of Michigan’s wild lands and waterways. Your knee-high naturalist will have a blast watching the forest and its creatures shift through the cycles of the seasons. As we explore the woods and waterways of Doolittle County Park and Gales Pond, children will access their sense of awe and curiosity while gaining social skills and confidence. Caregivers will enjoy engaging with their youngsters and other parents while benefiting from the relaxation and rejuvenation of time spent in nature.
